CONTEST! WIN Hand Made Soap

Featuring Hand Made Soap by Soap Deli (also known as Rebecca's Soap Delicatessen)

Soooo have I mentioned my addiction to hand made soap? If not, let me just tell you that I no longer buy commercially made soap if at all possible and will save up my pennies to make sure that I don't run out. I have super dry skin all winter long and I am here to tell you that hand made has cut my need for lotion in half. I can even skip a day (of lotion) and still not look like an alligator in 24 hours or less, and the smell oohh the smell of hand made soap is to die for. Seriously! So... to help spread the word on hand made soap I am having a contest give away.

SoapDeli has been kind enough to offer THREE bars of soap (1 of each) in these luscious flavors to one lucky winner. Too bad I can't enter my own contest lol!

SOUTHERN SWEET TEA SOAP
This soap is reminiscent of tea with lemon that is sweetened with a touch of honey. The scent is a blend of tea leaves, honey nectar, wild flowers, and lemongrass. The bar is naturally colored a light yellow from the addition of real lemongrass essential oil. Real tea leaves are dotted throughout the bar for visual interest and exfoliation. This soap rinses cleanly away and is all natural except for the fragrance. Vegan. Each bar weighs 4oz. - 4.5oz.

Yum!

LAVENDER AND BASIL SOAP
My Lavender and Basil Shea Butter soap has a clean, fresh scent that combines the summery aromas of lavender and basil. This soap is strongly scented so you are left with a light fragrance on your skin afterward. The soap rinses cleanly away and is all natural except for the fragrance. Each bar weighs 4oz. - 4.5oz.
I really want to try this one!

YUZU GOAT MILK SOAP
This yellow and orange colored soap is a cleanly scented blend of refreshing spring flowers highlighted by touches of Japanese Yuzu, tangy mandarin and sweet orange. Goat milk and shea butter make it feel especially nice on your skin. It is strongly scented so you are left with a light fragrance on your skin afterward. The soap rinses cleanly away and is all natural except for the fragrance. Each bar weighs 4oz. - 4.5oz.

HOW TO ENTER!
The important part lol! Go to SoapDeli's shop and take a look around. (be careful you may break down and buy some while looking lol). Come back here and leave a comment on which one of her soaps you like the best. Also leave a comment as to why you love hand made soap or why you would like to try hand made soap. I will randomly choose a winner on Sunday, January 25th, 2009 and SoapDeli will ship your soap to you. Please make sure that you leave me a contact email so I can notify you if you win and make shipping arrangements.

GOOD LUCK!

One of my favorite soaps that you have is the lavender and the lemon scents.
I first used a hand made soap about 20 years ago that was made in California.
I fell in love with it.
I helped my grandmother make her own soap with lye and it could take the hair off you.
It sure got rid of fleas on a dog.
I make my own soap for gifts and to sell. But I also buy soaps that others make, can't make every scent.

One of my favorite soap deli soaps is the lemon lavender. I am a buyer of rebecca's soaps. I feel that she makes the best cp soaps going. I make bath products, not cp soaps. I love the way handmade soaps make you feel. they feel real-no over foaming type bubbles, just a moisturizing lather that makes you feel clean and soft. I am a handmade soap convert-Im not going back, I cant bring myself to use store brands anymore.

Ok. It's the patchouli soap with shea butter. What can I say...I'm a child of the 70's. I have at least three favorites: Herbal Lavender, Raspberry and Vanilla and Lavender and Basil. MMMmmmmmm!!!!!!

I was one who (through most of my life) had to use Ivory soap. Everything else I had ever tried made me break out is some sort of rash. It wasn't until a few years ago - when I traveled to Texas - I stayed with a family in which the mother handmade their soaps. After telling her about my trials and tribulations with different soaps, she pleaded with me to try hers -- guaranteeing it would not make me look like a blotchy lobster. I gave in. The soap smelled wonderful and was incredibly moisturizing. And guess what? No rash!! From that day on, I have only bought and used handmade soaps. And I haven't been "blotchy" since! :)

My current favorite is the unscented goats milk, because that's what I am using in my shower right now and it's awesome.
But when I open the sunflower for dry skin, or "falling for you" xtra dry skin, those might become my new favorites.
I am a soapdeli customer, I bought 6 soaps before Christmas, some were supposed to be gifts but I ended up keeping 4 for myself. (the two lucky recipients of the gifts were also very pleased) I have very dry and sensitive skin, and I have eczema, so when I saw all the different soaps that Rebecca has for dry skin, I was so happy. Like a kid in a candy store!
My favorite ingredients I look for: goats milk, shea butter, cocoa butter, olive oil, oatmeal
I just started using handmade soap last year and my skin problems have improved SO MUCH since I switched, OMG, I will never go back to storebought. I hardly even have to use lotion anymore. I wish I had discovered this years ago. I don't even consider it a luxury, it is a NECESSITY for me now. If anyone has not tried handmade soap, I cannot recommend it highly enough.

As i was walking down 'tourist island' a lady had all these colorful items, as i approached i noticed what they were, i bought a couple of them. The flavors of aloe which i still havent tried and my favorite soaps ever, one made with oat meal and the second with pepermint. Although these soaps had those materials in the soap. I like the Almond and Oatmeal soap. I would like to try handmade soap because I have very dry skin.

So many of the soaps looked wonderful but I narrowed my favorite down to Falling For You for Extra Dry Skin. As a big time gardener this would be wonderful in the warmer months. Also, with three dogs and a cat I am forever washing my hands before working on jewelry. My hands take a beating year round. extra moisture would be great...and the scent sounds delish!

I would like to try the Citrus and Cilantro Goat Milk Soap...mmm! I think there's something pretty special about those who take the time and energy to craft fine versions of items that are otherwise mass-produced and easily available. There's no substitute for quality and caring; that's why I like handmade soaps.

Hi my name is Andrea and I am a diabetic and can no longer eat sweets. After looking over your soaps I thought what a wonderful way to enjoy sweets again. My favorites would have to be frosted donut, hot apple pie and southern sweet tea....oh how I miss my tea!!

ALMOND AND OATMEAL SOAP WITH SHEA BUTTER is a fabulous scent: warm, rich, nuturing and pleasing to the senses.

I love handmade soap because it's not drying to my skin, because it feels and smells luxurious, and it's often beautiful looking. Handmade soap combines form and function.

It looks like there are too many wonderful scents to choose just one. I would love to try the Coconut Cream Pie Soap. I'm a sucker for anything coconut and the photo looks so beautiful.
Hand made soaps look so much smoother and silkier than store brands.

I would love to try the Blueberry Muffin Soap! Why? Because it sounds delicious and right now I am hungry! :) But really, I have tried handmade soaps and nothing you can buy at the market can compare. And I love the way they look in my powder room. I was given a bar of lavender soap a friend made and everyone who used it commented on how pretty it was and how they enjoyed washing their hands with it.

I vote for the Appalachian Trail Soap.

I hiked parts of the Appalachian Trail in Vermont and New Hampshire. In just reading the description, memories have flooded back. I can still smell the scents in the backcountry. The earthy scent of the trees and dirt around the campsite...the hot, dry air on top of a mountain that you just spent the last 5 hours climbing...when you think you can't go any farther and then you are hit with the smell of an oasis-water and the most beautiful flowers ever created.

(Sorry. I have very good memories of my hiking days. :) )

I would like to try the Pomegrate Soap with Shea Butter. I like the softness you feel after washing your hands with homemade soaps, unlike the days gone by - nearly 50 years ago when I used to help my grandmother make soap in the old black wash pots that was too harsh to do anything with except wash clothes by hand, outside. Thanks.
