Something Simple Rustic and Earthy

Copper and Opal LOVE Pendant Handmade Metal Stamped Textured Rustic Pendant

This one would make a nice little stocking stuffer if you have a loved one who likes an earthy and rustic look.  Click HERE to check it out in my Etsy shop, or, as always, you can click on the picture.

Handmade hammered metal stamped LOVE pendant. The O in love is a small oval opal. This is a c grade opal and does not have any flash, however, it is a beautiful milky white. The pendant was hand cut from a sheet of copper metal. The letters were hand stamped and I made the bezel to fit the opal cab.

The pendant has been oxidized and has a very earthy, rustic look.

The pendant is a hair over 1 1/2 inches long.

Jewelry Piece of the Week August 28th 2010

A pretty polka dotted bead hangs from a chain for a bit of whimsy and color. Rustic hand drawn original art etched onto a copper pendant. The copper pendant and the lampwork bead were made in my home studio. You can find this in my studio on Artfire.

A New Design

I have been spending a lot of time on the lampwork beads. Totally love doing this, and am very happy with my progress. So anyway, the jewelry had been kind of on the back burner for a bit, I made a pair of earring here and a quick bracelet there but nothing too strenuous. One day I really just felt the need to do something a bit more complicated and involved. So I sat down and made this. I am very happy with the way it turned out and plan on doing more of these with a variety of stones and lampwork, with both copper and sterling silver wire. Would love any comments on the design. I am also just starting a beaded cabochon, which is something on my list of things that I wanted to learn. Can't wait to see how it turns out lol.

New Series of Copper Pendants

Well I have been busily coming up with new designs (mostly in my head since my time has been very limited the last several weeks, can't wait for a couple of those vacation days headed my way lol), but I did in fact get the prototype pendant for my rustic wildflower series done. I will be doing a limited number of these, each one will be slightly different in size, how many flowers and what stone is used as the main flower. Also the patina on the copper will vary from piece to piece as it is done with the flame of the torch so each will be different in that respect also. So here are the first two in the series, one has a matte finish and one has a slightly more polished less patina finish. If you would like to purchase the one the left simply click on it and it will take you to my shop. The other one will be listed in the next couple of days. Of course if you wish one custom made with a particular stone please feel free to let me know, I would be happy to work with you.
